You can recycle fishing equipment containing plastic at the collection points of the producer responsibility group Finnish SUP Producer Group Ltd. The collection is organised separately for trap nets (hand nets, fyke nets), rod fishing equipment (fishing rods, spinning rods, fishing lines, etc.) and aquaculture equipment.

Fishing equipment can still be disposed of in mixed waste, except for metal fish traps, which should be sorted into metal recycling.
